THEY WERE THERE FOR US.

Every day our military forces take up the fight to keep us free. Our Veterans from past and current wars willingly pay this price, often at great personal cost to preserve these freedoms we hold sacred.

IT'S OUR TURN TO BE THERE FOR THEM.

Disabled and wounded troops have life-long special needs as they to adjust to lives changed by their sacrifice. Operation Injured Soldiers is building a network of individuals, corporations, and organizations dedicated to providing the resources these heroes need to return to productive lives in their communities. Please consider how you can make even a small sacrifice for the people who have given so much for all of us.

VOLUNTEER

USE YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILL.

You can give what nobody else can – your time and the skills that you have spent a lifetime acquiring. Besides volunteering for the programs and events offered by Operation Injured Soldier, we know the veterans we help as individuals, and can link you and your unique skill to their individual needs.

GET TO WORK

Some ideas of where you can help are:

  • Volunteer staffing at one of our events.

  • Run a fundraising event on behalf of Operation Injured Soldiers.

  • Provide private land, accommodations or recreational equipment for Veterans and their families wanting to enjoy the outdoor activities in your area.

  • Provide transportation or airfare miles for Veterans who are traveling out of state.

Got an idea? We'd love to hear from you! Contact us at:

DONATE MONEY

The Goals of OPERATION INJURED SOLDIERs is to help our disabled hero's and their families get back to doing the sports and hobbies that they enjoyed before being deployed Our ultimate goal is to provide these soldiers with a ranch where disabled Veterans from all wars can enjoy sports and hobbies along with other soldiers and their families. The need for conversation amongst Veterans is so important for their healing process and we feel this ranch could provide just the right environment for this process to take place.

Donations made to Operation Injured Soldiers are totally tax deductable as we are a 501 (c)(3), tax exempt organization. Our tax exempt number is 74-3220776

We are very proud to say that all Board of Directors members and members of Operation Injured Soldiers are non-paid volunteers, assuring you that your money goes directly to our Veterans.

CONTRIBUTE GOODS

WE ARE THE CLASSIFIED SECTION

Have a few days in the timeshare that you’re not going to get to this year? We know what to do with that, and more! OIS works closely to monitor the needs of its Veterans, so it can match what you have with a person or family who will gratefully receive it.

ONE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Individual people coming together under one roof can make a big difference to a lot of people. Here are some of the programs we sponsor where your time, talent, and dollars make a difference.

HOLD AN EVENT

ONE SMALL STEP IS ALL IT TAKES.

You can make a difference by running a fundraising event on behalf of the OIS. Involve your family and friends, and you will reap the rewards that come from giving of yourselves to help those who need it most! Here are some ideas for events you could hold in your community:

  • Walk/skate/bike/dance-a-thon
  • Golf tournament
  • Cocktail party/Wine tasting
  • Bowling party
  • House tours
  • Silent auction
  • Raffle
  • Car wash
  • Bake Sale
  • Can Drive
  • Off-Road or Motorcycle Run

Among the events others have held to raise funds for the OIS:

  • Caine Johnson organized a Golf Tournament to raise awareness and money for Operation Injured Soldiers.

  • Pam Haggerty held their Second Annual Motorcycle Rally in New Hudson, Michigan. The event raised over $11,000 for Operation Injured Soldiers. Over 100 bikers rode for our cause!

  • Morgan Forney, a high school student in Byron, GA is dedicating 4 months of his time to sell "Purple Heart" plants to raise money and awareness for Operation Injured Soldier.

  • Kari Singleton held a bake sale in Ludington and later went back to Wal-Mart to see if they would donate goods towards another bake sale and was surprised when her local Wal-Mart donated $1,000 to Operation Injured Soldiers.

  • Lori Vorpi and Laura Ensley organized a weekend event in Rockford, Michigan, bringing in over $4500.00 for Operation Injured Soldiers! What a jammed packed weekend. A car show, motorcycle ride, and auctions. Way to go girls!

  • Evelyn Burgess lost her son in Iraq on November 9th, 2006. Knowing that her son was with God and knowing that she will see him again one day, her dream is to help other soldiers. On November 11th, 2008 Evelyn held a spaghetti dinner at the Westland Civic Center and raised over $5,000 for Operation Injured Soldiers! Way to go Evelyn and family

  • Vern & Donna Babcock of Manistee, Michigan honored an injured soldier with one of the greatest Christmas gifts they could have given. It was a gift of Christian love, respect and honor for a disabled veteran. For years the Babcock family participated in a gift exchange. This year they were asked by Vern & Donna to donate the money they would have normally spent to Operation Injured Soldiers. The family donated $975.00! Thank you Babcock family!

WE KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT

Wondering how to get rid of the discontinued product line? Got a company car that’s a bit dated for chauffeuring the clients around? How about tickets to that event that you didn’t quite sell out? We know what to do with that, and more!

SO GIVE IT UP

The many programs of OIS gives us a unique opportunity to affect the lives of those who truly need it. OIS works closely to monitor the needs of its clients and we are continually creating more programs for our Veterans, so it can match what you have with a person or family who will gratefully receive it.

INVEST IN GOODWILL

Corporate fundraising for the OIS doesn’t just help support an important cause, it offers many benefits for your company and employees. Not only can it improve staff morale and motivation, fundraising efforts for such an important cause can enhance your company's image among staff, suppliers and the community.

THERE ARE MANY WAYS THAT YOUR COMPANY CAN RAISE FUNDS FOR OIS:

  • Sponsor a OIS golf tournament or corporate run

  • Have a theme day, and match the donations employees make. For example, blue jeans or casual day, employees make a donation in order to dress casually for work.

  • Brown bag lunch day. Employees bring their lunch in lieu of buying it and donate the amount of money that they would have spent on lunch that day to OIS.

  • Coffee break. Offer free coffee for several days with a “OIS donation” jar in the cafeteria.

  • Schedule a corporate matching week. Host a week of daily activities (free coffee, casual day, extended lunch hour, free dessert, etc.) in honor of our Veterans. Throughout the week, collect employee donations that will be matched by the company.

  • Sell “Hero Caps” at your store or office.

  • Hold a fundraising event on behalf of the Operation Injured Soldiers.

Seven Year old Giuseppe Gottfried has done it again. This amazing little boy does not want presents at his birthday parties, he wants his friend and family to donate money to injured soldiers. Last year Guiseppe raised $500.00 for our soldiers, this year he raised $800.00! Wouldn't you love to be the proud parent of this amazing little boy!

Thank You Guiseppe!
